Words from the artist :
I was born in Jackson Mississippi and raised by my wonderful grandmother Minerva. I moved to New York after the age of 8. I join the US NAVY during the Vietnam war in the 70's, I served on the USS Middway (currently docked in San Diego ). After my service in the military I briefly studied Visual arts at The Art Students League in New York City. I enjoyed studying the Great Masters like Leonardo Da' vinci and Michelangelo. I enjoyed studying anatomy and techniques. I decided to become a self taught artist. Art to me is more than drawing and painting its spiritually enriching. My art was and is a vehicle of escapism for me. My work is an expression of who I am as an artist. It speaks for me in ways words can't.
